Ingredients For chicken cacciatore

6chicken pieces
-
1bell pepper, cleaned and sliced into rings

1large sweet onion clised into rings
-
1 cancrushed tomatoes
-
1/4 cdeep red wine (optional)

1/2 tsporegano, dried
-
1/4 tspbasil, dried
-
1/2 tspdried crushed garlic (fresh can be used)

1/2 cantomatoe paste
-
1 lbpasta of choice

water, boiling
How To Make chicken cacciatore

1Prepare pepper and onion. Place in a deep frying pan

2Slowly Saute the peppers and onion till tender and translucent. Remove from pan
-
3Add another 2 Tablespoons to the pan. Clean chicken of all fat. Quick fry the chicken till lightly brown

4Add the peppers and onions, cover with crushed tomatoes and add the spices. Simmer for 1 hour
-
5Bring the water to a boil, salt liberally and cook the pasta.

6Server the Chicken Cacciatore over the pasta and put the grated Romano over the top. Serve with a salad.
