This french toast is warm and hearty. Use your favorite fruit as the topping! You can even sprinkle on some powdered sugar for a pretty finish!

Ingredients For stuffed french toast
- FRENCH TOAST

8slices thickly sliced bread

3eggs

1 tspvanilla extract

1 Tbspmaple syrup

ground cinnamon
- FILLING

1 pkg8oz. cream cheese, softened

1/2 cbutter or margarine, softened

3/4 cpowdered sugar

2 Tbspbrown sugar, firmly packed
- TOPPING

1 pkgfrozen berries

1/4 csugar

2 Tbspmaple or berry flavored syrup
How To Make stuffed french toast

1In an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and butter until well blended.

2Add vanilla and mix in sugars.

3Combine frozen berries, syrup and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat thoroughly and keep warm.

4Preheat griddle pan on medium heat.

5Combine eggs, vanilla and maple syrup in a shallow dish. Beat slightly with wire whisk until well blended. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of mixture.

6Place one slice of bread at a time in the mixture until the first side soaks in, then flip and soak the second side.

7Add a pat of butter to the preheated pan and place your bread slices on until brown on both sides.

8Place one slice of toast on a plate and spoon filling on top. Place second piece of toast on top and spoon topping down over the top.
