Ingredients For tuna burgers

  • 2 can
    (6oz) solid white tuna, drained
  • 1/2 c
    breadcrumbs
  • 2 lg
    eggs,lightly beaten
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped celery
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped pimento (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    prepared horseradish
  • 1 clove
    garlic,minced
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    vegetable oil

How To Make tuna burgers

    In a large bowl, combine the tuna breadcrumbs and egg and stir lightly. Add the onion,celery,pimento(if using),lemon juice,horseradish,garlic,pepper and mix again. Form the mixture into four patties*. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties,covered,until golden brown. Carefully flip the patties and cook the other side for 5 minutes.

    *If you want, you can refrigerate the patties once formed for a couple of minutes until they are set.
