My Mom used to make these all the time. They are quick and delicious! With football season coming, these are great food for that Sunday afternoon game. Every time I make them it takes me back to when I helped my Mom make these years ago. They are high on my list of "comfort foods!"

Ingredients For toasty hot tuna sandwiches

1 - 6 ozcan tuna in water, drained

1/4 lbvelveta cheese, cubed

3hard boiled eggs, chopped

1 Tbspgreen bell pepper, diced
-
2 Tbspred onion, finely chopped
-
3 Tbspblack olives, chopped (optional)
-
1/2 cmiracle whip or mayo (your preference)

1 pkg12 hot dog buns
How To Make toasty hot tuna sandwiches

1Mix up your tuna filling earlier in the day. This gives it time to season.

2Now your ready to make the sandwiches. Spread the tuna filling on hot dog buns and wrap with aluminum foil. Place in refrigerator until ready to heat.

3Preheat oven to 400'F. Place wrapped buns on cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. This heats the filling, melts the cheese and gets the buns toasty.
