Look for shrimp that has been deveined to save prep time. I like to completely shell the shrimp but you could leave tails on if you like. This is a nice blend of spicy, tangy and sweet. This increases in heat as leftovers!

Ingredients For spicy cajun baked shrimp

  • 1/2 c
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    cajun or creole seasoning (such as emeril's)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb
    uncooked large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • lemon wedges
  • serve over rice with crusty bread

How To Make spicy cajun baked shrimp

    Combine oil, seasoning, lemon juice, parsley, honey, soy sauce and a pinch of cayenne pepper in a 9 x 13 baking dish.

    Add shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour

    Preheat oven ot 450. Bake until shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

    Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with rice and crusty bread for dipping.
