Ingredients For seared tuna with ginger shitake cream sauce

    tuna steaks
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    cilantro, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lb
    shitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 1
    lime wedges, for serving

How To Make seared tuna with ginger shitake cream sauce

    Add the oil to a skillet and sear the tuna on all sides, and cook to desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

    Add the butter to the same skillet. Add the green onions, ginger, garlic, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 3 minutes.

    Stir in the soy sauce and heavy cream. Cook 2 more minutes. Add the lime juice.

    Serve the sauce with the tuna steaks and lime wedges.
