rich & creamy tuna casserole

This is one of our favorite casseroles! It’s creamy and so easy to make, and it tastes so rich. For the picture, I used small bow tie pasta, and Ritz crackers to top the casserole.

Ingredients For rich & creamy tuna casserole

1 lbpenne pasta, or pasta of choice

1 Tbspbutter
-
1/2 smonion, chopped
-
2 stalkcelery, chopped
-
1 cansolid white tuna in water, including liquid

1 canlight tuna in oil, drained
-
2 cancream of mushroom soup
-
1 cevaporated milk
-
2-3 Tbspsour cream
-
1 canmushroom slices, partially drained

1 Tbspparsley flakes
-
1 1/2 ccheddar cheese, shredded
-
1 citalian seasoned bread crumbs, or 1 sleeve of ritz crackers, buttered & crushed
How To Make rich & creamy tuna casserole

1Preheat oven to 325. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain.

2Spray 9x13 dish, or large casserole, with cooking spray.

3Saute onions & celery in the butter until softened.

4In a large bowl, combine the tuna, and the remainder of ingredients, except bread crumbs/crackers.

5Combine pasta with tuna/soup mixture. Spoon into 9x13 dish, or large casserole, and top with bread crumbs or crushed Ritz crackers.

6Bake for about 30 mins, or until casserole is bubbly and golden browned. Enjoy.

7** If Freezing: Leave off the bread crumbs until ready to bake.
