Ingredients For quahog chowder

  • 1/4 c
    diced, salt pork
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 c
    clam liquor and water
  • 1 c
    potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3 qt
    quahogs (hard-shell clams) shucked and chopped with liquid reserved
  • 2 c
    milk

How To Make quahog chowder

  • 1
    Fry Salt pork until golden. Add onion and cook until tender and transparent.
  • 2
    Add liquor, potatoes, salt, pepper and clams. Cook about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk. Heat. Serve with crackers.
