1 tspdijon mustard

1/2 tspsalt, divided

2 Tbspcanola oil, divded

1 lblg shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails left on.

ground pepper for seasoning

1 cflour
How To Make new england styled light fried shrimp

1In bowl, whisk together ale, flour, mustard and 1/4 tsp salt until smooth.

2Heat 1 tbsp oil in lg deep skillet over med-high heat. Holding shrimp by the tail, dip into ale batter. Add to oil.

3Cook, turning once, until golden brown, about 4 mins. Drain on paper towels. Season w/ remaining salt. and a pinch of pepper. Fry remaining shrimp.
