Ingredients For miso glazed broiled black cod

  • 1/4 c
    sake
  • 1/4 c
    mirin
  • 1/2 c
    white miso
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 lg
    English cucumber, peeled and cut thinly on a mandolin
  • 2
    black cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • picked ginger, for garnish

How To Make miso glazed broiled black cod

  • 1
    Mix the Sake, Mirin, Miso, & Sugar together place in a bowl. Add the Black Cod in the Marinade flesh side down and let marinate over night in fridge.

    Remove the fish from the marinade. Place on a rimmed baking pan skin side up.. Place the marinade in a saucepan.

    Place the fish in the broiler about 8 inches from the heat. Bring the marinade to a boil and reduce heat and simmer until reduced and glossy.

    When the skin is crispy Turn the fish to flesh side up. Broil about 7 more minutes. Place the cucumber slices in a circle. Top with the Cod filet and garnish with the pickled ginger.
