This a good quick and inexpensive meal. My mother-in-law used to fix this and it is really good. I don't know anyone else that makes it.

Ingredients For creamy tuna over tomatoes

  • 1/4 c
    bacon grease
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 can
    tuna drained
  • 3-4
    fresh tomatoes sliced thick

How To Make creamy tuna over tomatoes

    Heat bacon grease in a cast iron skillet. Add the flour and stir until smooth and starts to bubble about 1 minute
  • 2
    Add the warm milk slowly and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and stir, until thickened
  • 3
    Stir in the salt. pepper, and tuna
  • 4
    Place sliced tomatoes on your plate and cover with gravy like you would for biscuits and gravy
