Ingredients For fish in black bean sauce

  • FOR THE SAUCE
  • 4 Tbsp
    black bean sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger grated
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    shaoxing wine
  • 1/4 c
    chinese fermented black beans (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • FOR THE FISH
  • 2 lb
    fish fillets ( i used trout)
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 md
    onion sliced
  • 1
    red bell pepper sliced
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced

How To Make fish in black bean sauce

  • 1
    Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside. Rub the cornstarch on the fish and set aside.

    Add the oil to a wok or large skillet. Add the onion, and red bell pepper and saute until softened. Add the garlic fish and reserved sauce. Cook until fish is done.

    Serve with rice
