Ingredients For crumb fried fish

  • 01 kg
    4 fillet of sole (roughly 1kg)
  • 08 Tbsp
    mint leaves
  • 04 Tbsp
    coriander leaves
  • 04
    green chillies
  • 04 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 01
    egg
  • 02 Tbsp
    each cornflour and plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • bread crumbs
  • oil for frying

How To Make crumb fried fish

  • 1
    Blend to a smooth paste the egg, mint, coriander, green chillies and lemon juice. Add flours and seasoning, mix well. Marinate fish in this for 15-20 minutes.

    Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Coat in breadcrumbs the fish fillet with marinade. Shallow fry till golden on both sides (2 mins per side).

    Enjoy with potatoes (fried, sauteed or mashed) and sauce of choice. The sauce I served was a mix of 6 tbs mayo, 4 tbs ketchup, 2 tbs lemon juice, 1 tbs herb seasoning, salt & pepper.
