This recipe is handed down from my mothers mother. I always looked forward to dinner when we had this. Was a popular dinner on friday nights during Lent.

Ingredients For creamed tuna on toast

  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 can
    tuna packed in oil
  • 1 can
    peas and carrots
  • 3
    egg, hard boiled
  • 4 slice
    american cheese
  • salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder
  • bread for toast

How To Make creamed tuna on toast

  • 1
    Melt butter in medium pan over medium heat. Add flour and stir to blend. Slowly add milk and stir until it starts to thicken a bit.

    Add drained tuna, peas & carrots, diced up hard boiled eggs. Stir in salt, pepper, onion and garlic to your own taste.

    Add 4-5 slices of American cheese and stir until melted. Reduce heat to low. Test and see if you want anymore seasoning. Toast your bread and butter it. Place on serving plate and top with creamed tuna. Serve and enjoy.
