This is an excellent way to prepare fresh red snapper. It's traditionally served with Cajun-style Red Beans and Rice.

Ingredients For cajun style red snapper fillet

4red snapper fillets (or 1 1/2 to 2 lb snapper, cleaned and cut into 4 pieces

2 Tbspall-purpose flour

2 tspcajun seasoning

2 Tbspfresh italian (flat-leaf) parsley, chopped

1 tspsalt

1 tspblack pepper

2 Tbspunsalted butter

1green onion, chopped
How To Make cajun style red snapper fillet

1Rinse fish and pat dry; set aside.

2In a shallow dish, stir together the flour, Cajun season, parsley, salt and pepper. Dredge each fillet in the flour mixture.

3Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add coated fillets, skin side down, in the hot butter. Cook 4 to 5 minutes or until skin is crisp. Using a spatula, carefully turn fillets and cook other side another 3 to 4 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

4Garnish with chopped green onion, and serve alongside your favorite Cajun-style Red Beans and Rice.
