Ingredients For blackened grilled fish

1/4 cbutter, melted and divided

1/2 Tbspfreshly squeezed lemon juice

4 lgfish fillets, rinsed and patted dry

4 Tbspcreole seasoning mix (about 1/2 tbsp. per side), or as needed

1 1/2 Tbspcanola oil, or more as needed
How To Make blackened grilled fish

1Preheat BBQ between 450ºF to 500ºF. Place a cast-iron griddle or skillet on the grill. Close the lid and heat for 10 to 15 minutes.

2In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter. Add lemon juice and stir well.

3Brush melted lemon-butter on each fillet and coat all with Creole seasoning mix. Flip the fillets and repeat the steps; reserve the remaining butter for later.

4Brush the griddle with canola oil and place the fillets. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until almost black.

5Flip and brush some of the reserved lemon-butter on the cooked side. Grill for another 2 to 3 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145ºF. Serve immediately.
