Ingredients For beer battered fish and chips

2-4 mdpotatoes, scrubbed and cut into fingers

1 lbfish filets, your choice

1 can(12 oz) beer, your choice

1 mdegg, beaten until fluffy
-
2/3 cmilk
-
1 tspoil
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspcayenne pepper
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1 1/2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 cflour, for dipping

oil, for deep frying
How To Make beer battered fish and chips

1pat potatoes and fish dry with paper towels. while potatoes are frying, prepare batter for fish.

2to prepare batter, mix together beer, egg, milk and oil. add baking powder, cayenne pepper, salt and flour all at once, mixing only enough to dampen the dry ingredients.

3remove potato chips from the oil with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels and season to taste.

4coat fish pieces in flour before dipping fish in batter and place in hot oil to deep fry. cook until golden, about 6 minutes. remove from oil with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels.
