While not much of a seafood lover, I have been known to eat fish if you disguise the fishy taste enough. This recipe, found in an old cookbook, seems to pass the test. Photo: www.mothersdelite.com.au

Ingredients For baked fish au gratin

1 lbfrozen fish fillets (cod, ocean perch, halibut or flounder)

2 Tbspfine cracker crumbs

1 can(14 oz.) stewed tomatoes

2 Tbspchopped onion
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/8 tspblack pepper
-
1 Tbspbutter
-
1/4 to 1/2 ccheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make baked fish au gratin

1Thaw fillets as directed on package.

2Grease a 1-qt. shallow baking dish and sprinkle with the cracker crumbs. Lay the fillets on top of crumbs.

3In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, salt and pepper. Pour over fillets. Dot with butter and cheese.

4Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 35 minutes, until the fish "flakes" when pierced with a fork.
