This is the BEST semi-homemade sauce I've ever made!! It has so much flavor and blends together so nicely! This could easily be made into a wonderful vegetarian pasta dish by omitting chicken and adding more veggies of your choice. This cheesy but light dish will quickly become your favorite too!

Ingredients For zesty alfredo pasta heaven

15 ozjar alfredo sauce

1 cchipotle gouda (boar's head cheese) shredded

1/2 cparmesan cheese,shredded
-
14 1/2 ozcanned diced tomatoes with sweet onions (hunt's brand)

3/4 cplain nonfat yogurt
-
1/2 cskim milk
-
1/2 cwater
-
2 Tbspdried parsley flakes

2-3 cdiced chicken, cooked
-
8 ozfresh mushrooms
-
1 lbziti rigati pasta (or pasta of your choice)

1/2 cwhole wheat bread crumbs
How To Make zesty alfredo pasta heaven

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a 13x9 baking dish with nonstick spray.

2Prepare pasta to al dente per package directions; drain. Meanwhile,in a skillet, brown chicken in a olive oil; dice and set aside.

3In a skillet, saute mushrooms in olive oil.

4In bowl, combine alfredo sauce, chipotle gouda, parmesan, canned tomatoes, yogurt, milk, water and dried parsley; blend well.

5Combine all ingredients and pour into prepared dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly. Serve.
