Here is my plain ole baked chicken in a crockpot,fall off the bone, delicious recipe.
This is using my favorite mayonnaise rub
(NO BUTTER)a little salt and pepper, and some fresh parsley!
Thats it!
I also make a turkey breast, oven roasted the same way....with wonderful results!

Ingredients For ye ole "baked chicken" in the crockpot

  • 1
    fresh, chicken hen, roaster
  • salt & pepper
  • parsley
  • mayonnaise...yep!...mayonnaise

How To Make ye ole "baked chicken" in the crockpot

    Rinse insides of the bird..
    Remove any giblets.
    Wash and dry chicken.
    Dry again!
    Sprinkle cavity with salt,pepper and parsley.
    TIP#1..... You might want to tie wings and legs close to the bird.
    Then they will not fall of,when lifting the bird out of the crockpot!

    Slather on a thin coating of
    mayonnaise, all over the bird!!
    DO NOT USE BUTTER.
    Place that beautiful bird, on a rack in your crockpot.
    What?? no rack???
    TIP#2... MMmmm!.. use metal canning rings!
    TIP#3...or crumpled aluminum foil.
    Sprinkle on parsley.
    Basil or tarragon.This is optional.
    Cover and cook on high for 6 hours.
    Remove chicken to a platter,
    let rest for 10 minutes.
    Then pull that glorious bird apart,
    and serve!
    TIP#4...You can strain the juices and make wonderful roast chicken gravy!
    TIP#5..Remember to save your left over bones...for a delicious soup!
    TIP#6...Left over meat?..Make open face hot chicken sandwich!
