We do love our chicken and dumplings, but the traditional method just takes a bit too much time and energy after a long day at work. This recipe makes it a bit easier and my guys love it! This recipe is versatile as you can spice it up anyway you like and use whatever chicken pieces available!

Ingredients For week night chicken n dumplins

  • 3
    chicken breasts
  • gsp (garlic, salt, and pepper)
  • 1 c
    peas, frozen
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 2/3 can
    milk
  • 2/3 can
    water
  • 1 tsp
    chicken boullion
  • 2 c
    bisquick mix
  • 1 c
    milk
  • paprika

How To Make week night chicken n dumplins

    Spray hot skillet with cooking spray
  • 2
    Cut chicken breasts into 3-4 slices each
  • 3
    Saute chicken just until browned
  • 4
    Place chicken in bottom of casserole or deep baking dish (13X9 pan will work, but not as well)

    Sprinkle to taste with GSP
  • 6
    Sprinkle frozen peas over chicken

    Mix cream of chicken soup with two thirds of a can milk and two thirds of a can water and the chicken boullion
  • 8
    Pour about 2/3 of soup mixture over chicken and peas
  • 9
    Mix Bisquick mix with enough milk to make a spreadable consistency.

    Pour/spread over chicken mixture, doesn't have to be even

    Pour remaining soup mix over bisquick. Sprinkle paprika on top

    Bake in preheated 350 degree oven until topping is browned, about 30 minutes

    Serve with an easy side of salad or fruit
