Here's my recipe for Turkey Joes, my version of "Sloppy Joes" I make with leftover turkey. (can also use leftover chicken) Easy to make and friendly on the budget. Enjoy!

Ingredients For turkey sloppy joes

1 Tbspplus one teaspoon vegetable oil

1 cchopped onions
-
1 cchopped red bell pepper
-
1 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 lbcooked turkey (can also use cooked chicken)

1 tspdried oregano
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
1 lbcan diced tomatoes (reserve liquid)

4 ozchopped mushrooms

1 Tbspall purpose flour
How To Make turkey sloppy joes

1Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, red pepper and garlic. Cook until tender, about 10 minutes.

210 minutes. Add turkey, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until cooked through and flavors have blended

3Reduce heat to low. Add tomatoes and mushrooms.

4Stir flour into reserved tomato liquid. Pour over turkey mixture. Simmer, covered, 20 minutes, stirring frequently.

5NOTE: Can be served over rice, noodles or hamburger buns.
