My daughter and I had just eaten the most fabulous chicken I've had in awhile just the other night, at a new restaurant that had just opened. I vowed to replicate that recipe and I'm fairly certain this comes very close!

Ingredients For tastes gourmet chicken in basil cream sauce

  • 1/4 c
    1% milk
  • 1/4 c
    whole wheat bread crumbs, i like 4c
  • 4
    boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 1 jar
    4 oz, sliced pimentos, drained
  • 1/2 c
    freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    chopped, fresh basil leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 box
    thin spaghetti

How To Make tastes gourmet chicken in basil cream sauce

    Cook pasta as directed, drain, place back into pot, drizzle w/ a little olive oil, keep warm.

    Place milk in one deep bowl. Place bread crumbs in another deep bowl. In lg skillet, over med-high heat, melt butter. Dip each chicken breast in the milk and then into bread crumbs.

    Cook chicken in skillet on both sides until juices run clear. Remove chicken, keep warm. Add broth to skillet and bring to a boil. Stir in the cream and pimento, season w/ salt and pepper. reduce heat. Add parmesan cheese and basil. Stir and cook until heated through. Place a small amount of spaghetti on 4 plates. Top each plate w/ a chicken breast. Pour cream sauce evenly over the chicken. Voila!
