Ingredients For tarragon chicken

  • 3
    bone in chicken breasts
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 c
    white wine
  • 2 c
    half & half
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    finely diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh tarragon or 1 tsp. dried tarragon
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • hot cooked rice, noodles or potatoes.

How To Make tarragon chicken

  • 1
    Place chicken on a rack over a foil lined pan; Sprinkle with salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper.

    bake at 350 for 1 hour or until chicken is tender. Remove to serving platter and keep warm.

    Drain drippings into a pan.

    Melt 2 Tbsp. butter in sauce pan with drippings, add onions and sautee until soft.

    Add in 2 Tbsp. flour, mix well with a wire whisk.

    Mix cream and white wine and taragon together and pour into pan.

    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.

    Serve with rice, noodles or potatoes.
