This chicken is so juicy and flavorful. The sweet glaze with a hint of heat is delicious and the pan sauce is amazing.

    whole chicken
  • 1 c
    coca cola
  • 6 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1/2 c
    honey
  • 1/4 c
    crystal hot sauce
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • 1 c
    dry white wine
  • 1 md
    onion quartered
  • 1 Tbsp
    each rosemary seeds, and coriander seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    each thyme and sage
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    water

How To Make sweet heat glazed coke can chicken

    Preheat oven 375 degrees. Dry the chicken and sprinkle some salt and pepper into the cavity. Warm the coke on the stove top. Place the coke into a tin soup can. Place the garlic into the coke. Set the chicken on top of the can. Mix the honey and hot sauce together and set aside.

    Place the chicken stock, white wine, onion, coriander, rosemary, salt, thyme,sage, and bay leaves in the bottom of a baking pan. Set the chicken on the can in the middle of the pan.

    Brush the hot sauce over the entire outside of the chicken. Place in the oven. Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Brushing with the hot sauce honey mixture until all is used up.

    Remove the chicken and set aside to rest. Pour the contents of the can into the sauce. Strain the pan sauce and discard the solids. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer for 15 minutes.

    Mix the cornstarch and water together and add to the sauce to thicken it a bit. Serve the sauce with the chicken
