Ingredients For sweet and sour chicken

    carrot, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    cilantro, dried
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh ginger root, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    chicken bouillon
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/3 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 c
    dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 8 oz
    pineapple
  • 4
    chicken breasts, boned
  • 2 Tbsp
    quick cooking tapioca
  • 1
    onion, quartered
  • 1
    green bell pepper, chunked
  • hot cooked rice

How To Make sweet and sour chicken

    CROCKPOT-Put vegetables in bottom of crockpot.

    Sprinkle tapioca over vegetables.

    Place chicken atop vegetables.
  • 4
    Combine all other ingredients except rice in a small bowl.

    Pour over chicken.

    Cover crockpot and turn to low and cook for 8-10 hours.

    Before serving make rice.

    Serve over rice.

    Leftovers can be reheated in microwave.

    OVEN-Put vegetables in bottom of a greased pan. Sprinkle vegetables with tapioca.

    Add chicken to pan.
