sweet and savory baked chicken

Just came up with this last night actually (7-11-13). I was getting tired of the same old broiled chicken legs. Served this with some my homemade Scottish Short bread and some honey basil green beans. It was a hit!

Ingredients For sweet and savory baked chicken

  • 12
    chicken legs
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 4 Tbsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1/3 c
    honey
  • 4 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • cooking spray
  • 4 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed

How To Make sweet and savory baked chicken

    Lightly spray a large cake pan place the 4tbls of butter in pan place in oven preheat oven to 350
  • 2
    Place the flour and cajun seasoning into bowl with lid or ziploc bag mix well. Place 1-2 legs at a time in and shake coating well.

    Get the pan out of oven and place floured legs in it.

    Bake 30 mins

    While that is baking place brown sugar, honey, juice and soy sauce into small saucepan on low stirring frequently.

    When the 30mins is up remove legs from oven and pour honey mixture on top. Place back in oven.

    Cook for another hour (or until chicken is done) turning the legs every 10mins.
