Ingredients For spiedies

  • 4 lb
    chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 2
    lemons, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp
    rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley chopped
  • 2 clove
    garlic crushed
  • 1
    small onion chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    sweet basil (dried)
  • 1 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1
    loaf of sliced italian bread (fresh)

How To Make spiedies

    The original recipe called for cubes of pork,veal, lamb and/or beef. Moving to a healthier option, most use chicken breast cut into one inch cubes

    Add other ingredients in order, stir well. Cover and refrigerate 24hrs. Stir at least 3 times during the marinating process
  • 3
    Place 4-6 pieces on each skewer, grill 10 minutes max or until pink disappears. Add to the end of the skewer a piece of Italian bread, hand it over and tell your eager guests to wrap the bread around the skewers pulling meat into the bread and ENJOY!!
