This is a great recipe for working people when you have leftover chicken. Also, great comfort food in winter!

Ingredients For smothered chicken with pierogies

  • 1
    dozen mrs. t's frozen potatoe pierogies (or any brand you like)
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup (i use lowfat)
  • 1 can
    sliced mushrooms drained (can leave out)
  • 2 c
    cooked cubed or shredded chicken
  • 1 c
    frozen peas

How To Make smothered chicken with pierogies

  • 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 2 qt casserole with cooking spray. Thaw pierogies in boiling water for 5 mins. Drain and place in casserole dish. In large saucepan, combine soup, mushrooms, peas and chicken. Cook stirring about 5 mins just until heated. pur over pierogies and bake for 15 mins.
