Ingredients For slow cooker stewed chicken

3 lbchicken thighs, bone-in

1 lbsmall potatoes (red preferred), cut into chunks

2carrots, cut diagonally into large pieces

1/2 lgonion, cut into chunks

4 clovegarlic, roughly chopped
-
ginger, 1/2 inch cut in thin slices

3green onions cut diagonally - 2 " pieces

1/4 tspred pepper flakes (optional)

1 Tbspsugar
-
4 Tbspsoy sauce or tamari
-
2 Tbsprice wine or mirin
-
1 Tbsphoney
-
2 Tbspgochujang
-
1 Tbspsesame oil
-
1 tspsesame seeds

How To Make slow cooker stewed chicken

1Place the vegetables (excluding the green onion) in the slow cooker along with the chicken (trimmed of excess fat).

2Mix the sauce ingredients (excluding the sesame oil and sesame seeds) and stir well. Pour sauce over the chicken.

3Cook on low setting for 6 hours. When done, skim off excess fat and add the sesame oil and sesame seeds.

4Serve with steamed rice.
