Easy and delicious, we love this Crock Pot chicken and dumplings. It's super creamy with shredded chicken throughout. Once in the slow cooker, the biscuits turn into soft, fluffy dumplings. This recipe makes a very thick chicken and dumplings. If you like it thinner, we suggest adding a second can of chicken broth. Quick and easy to prepare, this is a hearty comfort food dinner.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot
Ingredients For slow cooker chicken & dumplings

1 lbboneless chicken breast or loins

2 cancream of chicken soup, 10.5 oz each

1 canchicken broth, 14 oz.

1/2 tspsalt (divide sprinkle 1/2 on each side of chicken)

1/4 tsppepper (sprinkle on both sides of chicken)

1/2 stickbutter (cubed)

1/2 conion (sweet vidalia is what I use)

1 canbiscuits (cube each biscuit; makes 9 bite-size dumplings)
How To Make slow cooker chicken & dumplings

1Optional you can spray the inside with PAM spray to prevent any sticking. Add your pre-washed seasoned chicken to your slow cooker. Turn your slow cooker (Crock Pot) on high.

2Add all of your remaining ingredients - except your biscuits. You can slow cook for 6-8 hrs on low or 4 hrs on high (I do the quick time - my kids & I get impatient).

3Once the time cooked is up, use two forks to shred the chicken.

4Then add your diced biscuits to your slow cooker. Stir. Cook an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour. I cook mine an additional hour to make sure the biscuits were done.
