I came up with this last Sunday when I needed an easy fix for chicken. Turned out GREAT! Family loved it! Served it with a salad & broccoli.

Ingredients For slow cooker chicken cacciatore

4chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless (or 1.5 lb chicken tenders)

1 can28 oz, petite diced tomatoes

1 canwater (rinse the tomato can)

1envelope lipton savory herb & garlic soup mix

1green pepper, chopped

1onion, thinly sliced

1bag, boil-in-bag rice
-
shredded mozzerella cheese, for sprinkling

grated parmesan cheese, for garnish

cornstarch for thickening, if desired
How To Make slow cooker chicken cacciatore

1Put everything but rice in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours total.

2with 30 minutes left to cook, put the boil-in-bag of rice in slow cooker. Make sure it is completely covered with liquid.

3Remove rice bag to plate/serving dish. Mix cornstarch with water and add to liquid to thicken, if desired.

4Serve over rice and sprinkle cheeses on top.
