Ingredients For slow cooker chicken bhuna

  • 4
    boneless chicken thighs cut into 3 pieces each
  • 1 lg
    onion chopped
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 2 sm
    jalapeno's seeded and chopped
  • 2 tsp
    each, salt, garam masala, trumeric, coriander, cumin, & fenugreek
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 28 oz
    can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • basmati rice, naan and cilantro for serving

How To Make slow cooker chicken bhuna

  • 1
    Place the chicken in the slow cooker. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, & jalapenos. Mix the spices together and pour over the top of the chicken. Stir in the brown sugar.

    Pour in the water, lemon juice and crushed tomatoes. Stir in the tomato paste. Add the cornstarch and stir everything together. Cook on low for 6 hours.

    Serve over Basmati rice and lots of naan to soak up all the delicious sauce. Garnish with cilantro
