My daughter makes chicken marsala useing beef gravy, Its a wonderful flavor. I have so much chicken and wanted to make in crockpot, normally I use a tomato sauce but only had beef stock. So always haveing marsala on hand this is my creation. Also is low carb, I didnt use flour.

Ingredients For slow cooked beefy chicken marsala

  • 4 1/2 lb
    chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 lg
    thick sliced onion
  • 2 1/2 c
    beef stock
  • 1 c
    marsala wine
  • 1 tsp
    parsely flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • s&p
  • mushrooms

How To Make slow cooked beefy chicken marsala

    Wash and season chicken breast w/S&P. Place in crock pot. Next add sliced onions and season with parsley and garlic powder.

    Add beef stock and marsala over chicken.

    Cover and set on low for 7-8 hrs. Will be adding mushrooms later.

    Half way thru cooking time I add my wiped clean mushrooms (16oz pkg.) Mushrooms will soak up water if rinsed. I wipe clean with paper towel. I add my mushrooms half way so they dont cook down completely, but can be added in beginning. Continue to cook til chicken reads 165 in middle. Serve over pasta rice or potatoes.
