How To Make sis’ better than take-out sesame chicken
-
1Combine first nine ingredients together in mixing bowl. Mix well; stir in the chicken cubes. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
-
2Meanwhile make the sauce. Mix sauce ingredients in a small/medium saucepan and bring to a boil; whisking constantly. Remove from heat but keep warm, stirring occasionally.
-
3Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375º F.
-
4Remove a few pieces of chicken and allow excess batter to drip away. Fry in batches until cooked through and golden brown, (about 4-5mins.). Drain on paper towel and keep warm while you continue to fry the remaining chicken pieces.
-
5Transfer the chicken to a large platter, top with sauce, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onion, if using. Serve with steamed asparagus, green beans or carrot sticks and white rice.
