  • 2 jar
    (16 oz each) pace chunky salsa
  • 1 Tbsp
    cider vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    chili powder
  • 4
    chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 1 pkg
    (13 oz) pepperidge farm classic sandwich buns with sesame seeds
  • cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make shredded barbecue chicken sandwiches

  • 1
    heat the salsa, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder and chili powder in a 3 quart saucepan over medium high heat to a boil.

    add the chicken to the saucepan. reduce the heat to low. cover and cook for 20 minutes or until the chicken is fork tender.

    serve the chicken mixture on the buns. sprinkle with the cheese.
