This is an easy to make, but sooo yummy gumbo!

Ingredients For seafood & sausage gumbo

  • 1/2 lb
    andouille sausage
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped.
  • 1 lg
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1
    14-1/2 oz can chopped tomatoes w/ chiles
  • 1-1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    long grain white rice, uncooked
  • 2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    cajun seasoning
  • 1 lb
    medium shrimp, peeled, deveined

How To Make seafood & sausage gumbo

  • 1
    Spray a lg pot w/ cooking spray, place over high heat. Add sausage, onion & green bell pepper. Cook, stirring for 5 min. Add tomatoes, water, rice, garlic and cajun seasoning. Stir. Bring to boil, reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 15 min, or until rice is tender. Stir in shrimp. Return to boil. Reduce heat, simmer, covered for about 3 min, or until shrimp are pink.
