  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 6
    bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 lg
    onion, diced
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated ginger root
  • kosher salt and black pepper
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • fresh parsley, for garnish

How To Make rustic slow cooked ginger chicken

  • 1
    Place the butter and oil in a skillet. Add the chicken, skin side down. Brown the chicken until the skin is golden. Transfer to a slow cooker.

    Add the onion, garlic and ginger to the drippings in the skillet and cook until translucent. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.

    Pour over the chicken and let cook on low for 6 hours.

    Remove chicken and serve garnished with parsley.
