Ingredients For root beer pulled pork

  • 2 l
    quality root beer (ie a&w, mug, barq's)
  • 1
    pork shoulder, pork butt, chicken breast or thighs, or beef roast (i tend to buy whatever is on sale! any meat will work!)
  • 1 bottle
    favorite bbq sauce

How To Make root beer pulled pork

  • 1
    Trim excess fat from the meat and place into crockpot
  • 2
    Pour root beer to cover meat. Cook for 8+ hrs or until very tender
  • 3
    Pull meat from crockpot and reserve juices.
  • 4
    Shred meat apart and put back into crockpot to keep warm
  • 5
    Add your favorite bbq sauce and cooking juices to the meat to your taste preferences
  • 6
    Serve meat on rolls with coleslaw
