    whole chicken cut into 8 pieces backbone removed
  • sea salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    oil
  • 8 sprig
    thyme
  • 4 sprig
    rosemary
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    white wine
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp
    water

How To Make roast chicken with herb garlic white wine gravy

    Season the chicken with sea salt and pepper. Add oil to roasting pan and place on stove. Brown the chicken skin side down.

    Preheat oven 400 degrees. Pour the chicken stock and wine around the chicken pieces. Add the garlic, thyme and rosemary.

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until chicken is no longer pink. Remove chicken to serving platter. Strain the gravy and discard the solids. Bring to a boil on stove top. Mix the cornstarch and water together. Whisk in the gravy and let it thicken. Serve with chicken over mashed potatoes,rice or pasta
