Ingredients For reethy's kung po chicken

  • FOR CHICKEN PREP., YOU WIL NEED
  • 2 c
    chopped quater size chicken pieces
  • 2
    egg whites room temp.
  • 1/2 c
    corn starch
  • FOR KUNG PO SAUCE. YOU WIL NEED.
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce, light
  • 1 stick
    sesame seed oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice, frozen concentrate
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1or2
    shakes of cyanne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    agave syrup or honey
  • 1/4 c
    barbecue sauce
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 1 sm
    scallion

    heat oil to 360 F (for frying)

    Beat egg whites till frothy

    Add corn starch to egg mix just until incorperated together (do not deflate eggs)

    Add all chicken to egg mixture mix well,

    fry in oil until done and golden brown (aprox. 4 min.) drain chicken on paper towel, set aside

    In bowel mix ALL ingredient for sauce, mix well

    In clean skillet, (over medium heat) Add cooked chicken.
