Put this together for tonight’s dinner. It has diced or ground chicken, yummy Asian flavors, and a bit of a kick. I placed it on a sideboard with some butter lettuce, rice, and noodles. It was a hit. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  • 1 lb
    chicken breasts, diced or ground
  • THE MARINADE
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, plus a bit more for cooking in the pan
  • 1/4 c
    oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    tamari sauce, or liquid aminos
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • ADDITIONAL ITEMS
  • 1/4 c
    celery, chopped
  • pistachios, chopped, for garnish, optional

    You will need a large skillet to make this recipe, and a non-reactive bowl to marinate the chicken.

    Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

    Chop or grind up your chicken breast. I prefer it chopped.

    Add all of the marinade ingredients to a bowl, and then whisk together.

    Add the chicken, mix to combine, then cover and place into the fridge for about an hour.

    Add a bit of oil to a skillet over medium-high heat, and when the oil begins to shimmer, add the chicken.

    Cook and stir occasionally, until just about cooked through, about 5 – 7 minutes.

    After the sauce has reduced by 75% add the chopped celery.

    Continue to stir until the sauce further reduces and thickens, 3 – 5 minutes.
