We love parmesan crusted chicken and pasta. I had about three recipes that I combined and tweeked a little bit to come up with our favorite version.

Ingredients For parmesan chicken with italian cheese sauce

  • 6
    boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c
    butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 c
    italian style bread crumbs
  • 1 1/4 c
    finely shredded or grated parmesan cheese
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 (10) oz
    container of philadelphia cooking cream (italian cheese and herb flavor)
  • 2 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 pkg
    pasta (fettucini, penne, bowtie)

How To Make parmesan chicken with italian cheese sauce

    CHICKEN: Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Line your cookie sheet with aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray or parchment paper. Place chicken breast in gallon size ziploc bag or in between two pieces of wax paper. Gently pound with flat side of meat mallet or rolling pin til about 1/2 inch thick. Salt and pepper chicken.

    In a shallow dish, mix melted butter and 1/2 tsp of garlic powder. In another dish mix parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Dip chickn in butter mix and then in bread crumbs mix. Cover pieces real well. Put on lined cookie sheet. Spray pieces with a little vegetable oil cooking spray and put in oven for 13 to 17 minutes, depending on size of chicken pieces. Make sure chicken is clear when cut and coating is golden brown. (As your chicken is cooking start your cream sauce and pasta)

    SAUCE: In large size sauce pan add Philadelphia cooking cream, cream of chicken soups, chicken broth, milk, and garlic powder. As your chicken is in the oven heat these ingredients and stir til mixed well and heated through. Serve sauce over your cooked pasta or even mashed potatoes is delish. The top with your parmesan crusted chicken breast. Enjoy.
