In an effort to try to make a healthy fried chicken meal that my husband, who puts hot sauce on everything, would like I came up with this recipe. You can make it as hot as you like, I toned it down some for my daughter we still enjoyed it, although hubby still added hot sauce.

Ingredients For oven fire chicken

2 1/2 lbboneless skinless chicken breast flattened 1/4 inch

2 cflour
-
1-2 Tbspcajun seasoning

3eggs
-
1/4 chot sauce - depending on how hot you want it

1/4 cwater
-
2 citalian breadcrumbs
-
2 Tbspdried thyme
-
salt and pepper
-
3 Tbspbutter cut in small pats

cooking spray
How To Make oven fire chicken
-
1Pre heat oven 400 degrees, Place a cookie cooling rack inside of a cookie sheet, spray with cooking spray, gather 3 flat bowls for dredging the chicken

2Season the chicken with the salt and pepper

3In a flat bowl mix the flour and Cajun seasoning together

4In another flat bowl whisk the eggs, water and hot sauce together
-
5In another flat bowl mix the thyme and breadcrumbs
-
6Dredge the chicken first in the flour mixture next in the egg mixture and lastly in the breadcrumb mixture.

7Place the chicken on the prepared cookie sheet with the rack

8Bake in the oven for about 45 mins or until it is nice and crispy.
