If you love chicken wings but hate that they are fried, this is for you! These wings turn out crispy just like they were fried. Add your favorite wing sauce and enjoy!

Yum! These oven-baked chicken wings are juicy, crispy, and perfect for football season. The seasoning mix gives just a hint of flavor and adds a nice crispy texture to the wings. We tried them with and without Buffalo sauce... both were delicious!

Ingredients For oven crisp chicken wings

  • 1/3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 3 lb
    chicken wings, tips removed

How To Make oven crisp chicken wings

  • Prepped chicken wings on a plate.

    Cut wings at joint. Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Flour and seasoning in a resealable bag.

    Combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a large resealable zip bag.
  • Wings coated in the flour seasoning.

    Shake to mix ingredients and add wings. Shake to coat wings.
  • Baking sheet lined with foil.

    Line a large baking sheet with release foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Wings placed on baking sheet.

    Add wings in a single layer and spray wings with cooking spray. You may need 2 baking sheets depending on size of wings.
  • Chicken wings baking in the oven.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Turn wings over and bake for another 15 minutes or until crispy and done.

    I sometimes add 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning to the flour mixture and then the wings don't even need sauce. They are tasty just as they are.
