I got this one out of Taste of Home and I love the tangy sauce...so easy to make and smells so good in the oven...

Ingredients For oven barbecued chicken

  • 3-4
    pounds chicken pieces
  • 1/3 c
    chopped onion
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c
    ketchup
  • 1/3 c
    vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 2 tsp
    prepared musard
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper

How To Make oven barbecued chicken

    Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet; fry chicken until browned. Drain; place chicken in a 13x9x2" baking dish.

    In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender; stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Pour over chicken.

    Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour or until chicken is done, basting occasionally.
