Ingredients For ol charlie's by god woodrow chicken soup

1/2 mdchicken (skin and bone on)

1 mdyellow onion chopped

5 clovegarlic rough chopped

3 stickcelery sliced

3 smcarrot, sliced

1 bunchfresh kale, chopped
-
1 mdsweet potato chopped in 1 inch pieces

2 smpotatoes chopped into 1 inch pieces

1/2 pkgegg noodles
-
1 cantomatos and green chiles
-
1 boxchicken broth (32 oz.)

4 cwater
-
1 tspground black pepper/sea salt/ season salt/tony's cajun seasoning/rosemary sprigs/

1 dashlouisianna hot sauce
-
1/2 mdbell pepper chopped fine
-
1 smjalepeno de-seeded and chopped fine
-
2 smyellow squash cutt into 1 inch slices
How To Make ol charlie's by god woodrow chicken soup

1take skillet and heat 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon bacon grease combined. add whole halfed chicken seaoned with half of dry ingrediants when skillet good and hot roast until browned on both sides. Remove chicken and lower heat in skillet.

2Place browned chicken into stew pot on medium high heat add 32 oz. box of chicken broth cover with lid .

3place all chopped veggies into skillet to brown (reserve kale for later) cover with lid and stir from time to time to prevent sticking.

4Take chicken from pot after 45 minutes let cool and pull off of bone , place pulled chicken back into pot, you can wrap carcase for stock for your next pot of soup if you'd like.

5Take browned veggies and put into stew pot add 4 cups of water ( use it to rinse out skillet into pot!)

6add kale and canned tomatoes and chiles . Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours

7add the half package of noodles and let cook until all is tender ( complete cooking time usually runs around 3 to 3&1/2 hours) Serve with cornbread and Ice tea or Cold Beer...By God Woodrow that's eatin" I promise you!
