Ingredients For not-everything-is-a-bagel teriyaki chicken

4 lgchicken breasts, boneless and skinless

8carrots, peeled and cut

1/2 csoy sauce

1/4 cMirin

1/4 cfresh-squeezed lemon juice, approx. 1 lemon

1/2 cbrown sugar, lightly packed

2 clovegarlic, minced

2 tspfreshly-grated ginger

1/4 tspblack pepper

4 cwhite rice, steamed
How To Make not-everything-is-a-bagel teriyaki chicken

1First, slice the chicken into small, bite-sized pieces.

2Next, sear it in a few drops of sesame oil and a pat of butter.

3Third, carrots and a splash of water. Steam a few minutes or until carrots are tender.

4In a glass bowl, combine soy sauce, Mirin, lemon juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper.

5Stir in sauce and simmer until thickened.

6Serve with steamed white rice.
