Blue Ribbon Recipe

Super savory, this chicken curry recipe is a terrific choice for a nice night in, or for your next dinner party! The chicken is tender, and the curry sauce is nice and creamy. The raisins add a touch of sweetness to each nite. This dish is filled with aromatic curry flavor.

How To Make mom's chicken curry

  • Cooked chicken, onion, garlic, bay leaves, and apple in a skillet.
    1
Add Lawry's garlic salt and pepper to the diced chicken. Brown in butter. When fully cooked add finely chopped onion, garlic, bay leaves, and finely chopped peeled apple.
  • Flour, paprika, curry, and water added to the skillet.
    2
When onions are cooked, add flour and let the flour coat everything. Add curry, paprika, and water.
  • Raisins and a bouillon cube added to the skillet.
    3
When the sauce is thick enough, add raisins and bouillon cube. Let it cook on medium low or simmer for a while so that apples dissipate in the sauce.
  • Pouring in heavy cream.
    4
At the end add heavy cream. If you decide to use coconut milk, you may want to cook it longer so some of the liquid evaporates to a thicker consistency or use less coconut milk than the full can.
  • Mom's Chicken Curry over jasmine rice.
    5
Serve with rice, peaches in their syrup, and a fine chutney.
