Ingredients For mexican chicken black bean skillet dinner

    chicken breast-cooked and diced
  • 1/2 md
    yellow onion -diced
  • 1 can
    tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
  • 1-1/2 c
    jasmine rice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic parsley salt
  • 1-16 oz
    mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 1 can
    black beans, canned-rinsed an drained
  • 2 c
    chicken broth, low salt
  • 1-4 oz
    canned mild green chilies-undrained

How To Make mexican chicken black bean skillet dinner

    Add in All Ingredients except cheese. into a non-stick Skillet. Sir to combined. Bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer. Cover for 12-15 minutes.

    Checking and stirring at least once, making d sure lids stays on and liquid is absorbed. May need to adjust heat so to avoid sticking.

    Sprinkle over top, resume lid to melt cheese, I ,turn OFF my stove. The residual heat should melt the cheese. Dig IN
